Start seed indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost or sow seed directly in the garden after the last frost. Cover slightly with the soil and do not allow the soil to dry out. Aster appreciates good air circulation. Easily grown in rich, consistently moist, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade.
For successive blooming, you can sow seeds directly in the soil every two weeks, depending upon the length of your growing season. Do not overcrowd. Weed around plants to prevent competition.
