1/4 tablespoon, approximately 500+ seeds.

Start seeds indoors: Celery seeds can take a while to germinate, so it's best to start them indoors about 10-12 weeks before the last frost date in your area. Sow the seeds about 1/8 inch deep in a seed-starting tray or individual pots filled with a seed-starting mix.

Keep the soil moist: Water the seeds regularly to keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. Use a spray bottle or a gentle stream of water to avoid disturbing the seeds.

Provide ample light: Celery seedlings need plenty of light to grow. Place them in a sunny window or under grow lights for at least 14-16 hours per day.

Transplant outdoors: Once the seedlings have grown to about 3-4 inches tall and have several leaves, they are ready to be transplanted outdoors. Wait until the danger of frost has passed and the soil has warmed up before transplanting.

Prepare the soil: Celery needs rich, fertile soil that is well-draining. Add plenty of compost or aged manure to the soil before planting to help improve soil fertility.

Plant the seedlings: Dig a hole that is slightly deeper than the root ball of the seedling and gently place the seedling in the hole. Cover with soil and gently firm the soil around the plant.

Water regularly: Keep the soil evenly moist throughout the growing season, but be careful not to overwater as this can lead to root rot.

Harvest: Celery can be harvested when the stalks are about 8-10 inches tall and have thickened. Cut the stalks off at the base of the plant with a sharp knife or scissors.
